Head Coach Responsibilities
• Coordinates team activities with Assistant Coach and Team Mom
• Verifies that each player has a signed registration form
• Ensures that each player receives a uniform
• Provides players’ families with game schedule prior to the start of the season
• Maintains regular contact with players and their families to provide information on upcoming events, schedule changes or game cancellation due to weather
• Communicates concerns regarding specific players to the League Director
• Attends Coaches meetings as called by Director of Coaches
• Arrives at field at least 15 minutes prior to game time
• Provides copies of team line-up to umpire and announcer before each game (player’s name and number)
• Manages team equipment and ensures its arrival before each game
• Assists players as they cross home plate
• Ensures that the game keeps moving to avoid running past the start time for the next scheduled game
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and concern for each player and family
Assistant Coach Responsibilities
• Assists Head Coach and Team Mom with team activities
• Verifies that each player has an assigned buddy
• Arrives at field at least 15 minutes prior to game time
